At Heather Primary School, we are proud to offer a nurturing, ambitious and inclusive environment where every child is known, valued and encouraged to thrive. As a small village school, we combine high expectations with personalised support, enabling children to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

We warmly welcome prospective parents and carers to visit our school, meet our staff and experience first-hand what makes Heather Primary School so special.

Starting School August 2027

Heather Primary School is a Leicestershire County Council maintained school. We are therefore bound by their school admissions policy. Please click here for the Local Authority School Admissions Policy.

Heather Primary School offers a welcoming, family-oriented environment with small class sizes and mixed-age classes. Admissions for Years 1 to 6 are set at 18 places per year group.

Our classes are organised as follows:

🐛 Caterpillar Class - Reception and Year 1
🐞 Ladybird Class - Year 1 and Year 2
🐝 Bumblebee Class - Year 3 and Year 4
Dragonfly Class - Year 5 and Year 6

Year 1 pupils are organised across two classes to maintain the statutory Key Stage 1 class size limit of 30 pupils per teacher. This arrangement enables us to meet legal requirements while continuing to provide a high-quality learning experience for all children.
